Name two DRS Class 47s!

Win tickets and the chance to name two locomotives with RAIL EXPRESS.

DRS and Stobart Pullman

TO MARK THE launch of the Stobart Pullman, Stobart Rail has kindly provided two pairs of tickets to travel on a future outing whilst Direct Rail Services’ Engineering Director has asked readers to come up with suggestions for names to be applied to the Class 47 fleet.

DRS has given RAIL EXPRESS readers the opportunity to suggest the names for the remaining two unnamed Class 47s in the charter pool – Nos. 47709 & 47832 which are presently being repainted at RVEL, Derby, and WCRC, Carnforth respectively. It has been confirmed that Nos. 47501 & 47790 are to be reunited with their Craftsman and Galloway Princess names.

To enter this free random draw, all you have to do is send a postcard to the editorial address (see below), with your two locomotive names before March 24th. Be sure to include your address and contact details. Alternatively you can enter by e-mail, sending the same information to vote@railexpress.co.uk The final name selection from those supplied will be made by the DRS engineering team.
